Varje år är Chalmers Innovation med och startar ett tiotal företag som utvecklas från teknikbaserade affärsidéer till självständiga biolag. I år har sju av företagen inom inkubatorn blivit färdiga alumniföretag. Bland dessa har fyra anknytning till life science området:
Layerlab som säljer förbrukningsvara till läkemedelsutvecklare och forskare för att möjliggöra nya typer av mätningar med membranstrukturer.
Micropos Medical som utvecklar och säljer ett system för att öka precisionen inom strålbehandling av cancer.
Midrion som utvecklar och säljer en analytisk biosensor för vetenskapliga applikationer
Promimic som utvecklar, producerar och säljer implantatytor för syntetiskt ben.
Sedan starten 1999 har Chalmers Innovation till årsskiftet 2008/09 varit med och startat 89 företag som gemensamt under 2008 visade en total omsättning på 329 miljoner kronor. Tillsammans har det i dessa bolag investerats mer än 1 miljard kronor ackumulerat över åren.
