Stiftelsen för Strategisk Forskning, SSF, har bedömt att läkemedelsindustrin inte satsar tillräckligt mycket på grundforskning inom det medicinska området.
- Det är därför av stor strategisk vikt att fler aktörer än läkemedelsindustrin satsar resurser på grundforskning inom dessa områden, säger Lars Rask.
Under en femårsperiod kommer 15 projekt att få dela på 400 miljoner kronor och den största delen, totalt 207 miljoner kronor, går till forskning på Modeller och biomarkörer för utvecklingen av nya läkemedel. Inom det fältet får sju projekt finansiering:
