Knut Faremo ska leda arbetet för styrelsen hos en av de nya apoteksaktörerna, Apotek Hjärtat. Han har tidigare erfarenhet rån norska detaljhandelsbolaget Norgesgruppen och från styrelsen i Coop Sverige. Övriga ledamöter är Anita Berlin, Stefan Linder, Marie Nygren, Steinar Stokke och Fredrik Strömholm.
Anita Berlin var tidigare forskningschef på Apoteket och har en bakgrund som apotekare och docent i biofarmaci. Hon har också varit apoteksdirektör i Stockholm och chef för sjukhusapoteket på ett av Karolinska Universitetssjukhusets apotek. Stefan Lindner och Fredrik Strömholm är båda bland annat partners i Altor Equity Partners. Båda har ett antal andra styrelseuppdrag. Marie Nygren är vice vd på Systembolaget och har tidigare varit vd för ett av Apotekets dotterbolag, Adara. Steinar Stokke har bland annat varit vd för norska Apotekskjeden och han har också varit rådgivare för svenska Apoteket.
