TB-402 är ett nytt läkemedel mot blodproppar som har tagits fram genom ett samarbete mellan svenska Bioinvent och belgiska Thrombogenics. I fas II-studien undersöker forskarna hur risken för blodpropp hos patienter som opererat knäleden påverkas efter behandling med TB-402.
Resultat visar att färre patienter som behandlats med TB-402 fick blodproppar efter operationen i jämförelse med patienter som behandlades med enoxaparin.
Enoxaparin är idag standardbehandling och ges i flera omgångar, medan TB-402 ska vara så långtidsverkande att en injektion räcker. Bägge preparaten är enligt studien lika säkra.
