Men jag kan tänka mig att vår unika sjukdomsförändrande behandling för Alzheimers sjukdom kopplat till ett verktyg för mycket tidig diagnos av sjukdomen har varit avgörande. Målgruppen är stor och innefattar alla som upplever kognitiv påverkan eller med mild till måttlig Alzheimers sjukdom. Idag är det bara cirka 30 procent av den målgruppen som kan få behandling.
Vad gör Biochromix?
- Biochromix är ett forskningsintensivt företag som utvecklar och kommersialiserar innovativa produkter för diagnos av Alzheimers sjukdom i ett så tidigt skede som möjligt. Bolaget kommersialiserar även unika analyser för identifiering av biomarkörer associerade med Alzheimers. Biochromix har på senare tid framställt en unik och patenterad klass av molekyler som möjliggjort dessa metoder. Det är idag ett stort tryck på att hitta nya diagnosmetoder och behandlingar av neurodegenerativa sjukdomar som Alzheimers och Parkinsons sjukdom. Dessa sjukdomar kostar idag vården i Europa mycket stora summor, uppskattningsvis 720 miljarder kronor varje år.
Vad hoppas ni uppnå med turnén?
- USA är en viktig marknad för oss. Att få vara med på en turnerande utställning är självklart mycket värdefullt och kommer väl till pass i de internationella kontakter vi har.
