– Vi kommer att försöka höja våra priser. Men det är svårt eftersom våra distributörer inte har någon förståelse för detta, de ser ju bara priset i exempelvis euro. Dessutom har våra elektronikkomponenter blivit dyrare, säger Yvonne Mårtensson, vd för Cellavision.
Nittio procent av Cellavisions intäkter är i dollar och euro. Bolaget har hedgat, säkrat framtida inkomster till ett visst pris, för att skydda sig mot oväntade valutaförändringar. Att minska risken med hedgning kostar pengar. För att det inte ska bli alltför dyrt hedgar de flesta bolag bara halvårsvis, varför längre valutaförändringar ändå påverkar resultatet.
Medtechbolaget Vitrolife, ett annat exportberoende företag, sänkte sin omsättning från 17 till 8 procent på grund av den starka valutan. Vitrolife har gjort så kallade terminssäkringar på försäljningen i euro för att försöka kompensera den starka svenska valutan. Ungefär två tredjedelar av försäljningen säkrades förra året.
– Vi räknar med en fortsatt stark svensk valuta. Vi har bara säkrat euron eftersom vi har ett dotterbolag i USA med en del kostnader där, vilket gör att vi inte är lika sårbara för valutaförändringar där, säger Anne-Lie Sveder, ekonomichef, Vitrolife.
Yvonne Mårtensson på Cellavision konstaterar att en övergång till euro skulle innebära bättre förutsägbarhet för svenska exporterande företag.
– Stundtals följer ju även dollarn med euron, vilket göra euron mycket mer förutsägbar, säger Yvonne Mårtensson.
