Läkemedelsbolaget Bioinvent presenterade i dag torsdag sin bokslutsrapport för 2011. Företaget gick med förlust, resultatet blev -67 miljoner kronor, vilket ändå är en förbättring gentemot 2010 då motsavrande siffra var -128 miljoner kronor. Resultatet per aktie uppgick till -1,04 kronor jämfört med -2,12 år 2010. Kassa, bank och kortfristiga placeringar var vid årsskiftet 174 miljoner kronor och bolagets samlade kostnader uppgick till 196 miljoner kronor, varav forsknings-och utvecklingskostnader uppgick till 164 miljoner kronor.
I juni 2011 genomförde företaget en riktad nyemission som tillförde bolaget 136 miljoner kronor före transaktionskostnader. Teckningskursen fastställdes till 22,30 kronor per aktie.
Rörelsens intäkter var förra året 125 miljoner kronor jämfört med 83 miljoner kronor år 2010. I intäkterna för perioden ingår 15 miljoner dollar, vilket motsvaras av 95,1 miljoner kronor, i milstolpsersättning från Genentech då Bioinvent och Genentech i mars 2011 inledde en ny klinisk studie av läkemedelskandidaten BI-204 mot kranskärlssjukdom. Likaså ingår Bioinvents andel i form av en milstolpsersättning på 1,6 miljoner euro, motsvarande 13,6 miljoner svenska kronor, när partnern Roche i maj 2011 inledde en ny klinisk studie av läkemedelskandidaten TB-403 mot cancer. Intäkterna under perioden utgörs även av intäkter från partners som utnyttjar Bioinvents antikroppsbibliotek.
Under året har fas II-studien Glacier med substansen BI-204 utökats och de första resultaten väntas publiceras under tredje kvartalet i år. Resultat från Bioinvents fas IIb-studie med TB-402 mot trombos beräknas publiceras under årets andra kvartal. Fas 1b/II-studien med TB-403 på patienter med hjärntumör fortlöper enligt plan och i studien med BI-505 mot cancer har man inlett dosering på högre dosnivå. Resultat väntas i andra kvartalet.
