Karolinska Developments portföljbolag Pergamum har doserat alla patienter till en klinisk fas II-studie med bolagets preparat PXL01, för förebyggande behandling av skadlig ärrbildning till följd av kirurgi.
PXL01 är en peptid som ska minska oönskad ärrbildning som kan uppstå vid kirurgiska ingrepp. I studien ska preparatets effekt och säkerhet utvärderas under tolv veckor.
Studien är randomiserad och placebokontrollerad och innefattar 138 patienter som genomgått handkirurgi. Studien genomförs vid flera olika testcenter i Sverige, Danmark och Tyskland. Resultaten väntas vara klara senare under året.
